Frequently asked questions
Where do you plan weddings and events?
We plan weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across Iceland, Europe and beyond. Whether you have a destination in mind or are still exploring, we can help you consider the setting alongside your budget, guest travel and the experience you want to create.
Can we enquire before choosing a venue or date?
Absolutely. This is a useful time to involve us, before the biggest decisions are made. Share your ideas, preferred season, approximate guest numbers and budget, even if they are still taking shape. We can help you assess venues and dates against what your event needs, so the setting supports the plans that follow.
Can you help if we have already started planning?
Yes. Tell us what you have booked, what is still outstanding and where you need support. We will review the existing arrangements and discuss how we can take the planning forward. The right scope will depend on the work remaining, your event date and our availability.
How is the planning fee worked out?
Our fee reflects the scope of the work: the location, number of event days, production requirements and level of planning and guest support involved. Following our initial conversation, we provide a proposal setting out our role and fee. We also discuss the wider event budget, so you can understand how planning support fits alongside venue and supplier costs.
What happens when we enquire?
Tell us about your event through the enquiry form. A date or preferred season, location, approximate guest count and budget are helpful, but you do not need every answer yet. From there, we discuss your priorities, availability and the support you are looking for, before putting together a proposal for the work.
How does the planning process work?
We begin with your brief: who the event is for, what you want it to achieve or feel like, and the budget and timing we are working within. We then develop the plan and creative direction, source the right venue and suppliers, and keep decisions and deadlines organised.
As the event approaches, we bring the supplier plans, guest arrangements and running order together. On site, we lead delivery within the agreed scope, so you can focus on your guests rather than coordinating the team.
Can we bring our own suppliers?
Yes. Let us know who you have booked or would like to work with, and share any existing agreements. We will discuss how they fit the creative direction and practical plans, identify any gaps and clarify responsibilities. For corporate events, this can also include working with your existing agency or internal team.
Can you help with guest accommodation and transport?
Yes. Where included in our scope, we can help coordinate accommodation options, guest transfers and the information people need to get between venues. We consider arrival times, event schedules and travel distances together, so the arrangements support the experience. This can be useful for a destination wedding, a company retreat or a private celebration with guests travelling in.
Can you manage RSVPs and guest information?
Yes, guest management can form part of our support. We can track responses, organise dietary and access requirements, and keep the relevant information up to date for the venue and supplier team. We agree how invitations, guest questions and updates will be handled at the start, giving you a clear picture of attendance without managing every reply yourself.
How far in advance should we hire a wedding planner?
We encourage couples to book a full-service wedding planner 12 to 18 months before their wedding date, or as soon as they get engaged. Bringing us in early gives us time to explore venues and suppliers with you and establish a realistic budget before major commitments are made.
If your wedding is sooner, please still get in touch. We can discuss what is possible based on our availability and the planning you need.
What does full-service wedding planning involve?
We lead the planning and creative direction from the first ideas through to delivery on site. That includes venue and supplier sourcing, budget tracking, design development, supplier coordination, production plans and the wedding schedule. We also consider how the celebration feels for your guests, including any events before or after the wedding that form part of our agreed scope.
You have clear recommendations and honest advice throughout. We keep the work moving, bring the supplier team together and lead the practical arrangements on the day, giving you more time to enjoy both the planning and the celebration.
Do you plan elopements and smaller weddings?
Yes. We plan elopements and micro weddings with support scaled to the celebration. A smaller guest list can still involve venue searches, travel arrangements, suppliers and a detailed schedule. We give those practicalities the same care as the design, food and atmosphere, whether it is just the two of you or a small group of your favourite people.
Do you plan multicultural weddings?
Yes. We love celebrations that bring different cultures and traditions together. We start by understanding what matters to you and your families, which customs you want to include and how you want the days to unfold. There is no assumption that every couple from the same background wants the same wedding.
From making space for separate ceremonies to briefing suppliers on food, music and the running order, we work with you and the right specialists to make those traditions part of the plan. You should feel understood, and your families should know that the details important to them have been heard.
Can you plan events before and after our wedding?
Yes. We can plan welcome drinks, rehearsal dinners, group activities and farewell brunches as part of your wedding celebration. We coordinate the venues, suppliers and timings across the agreed events, taking guest travel and time to relax into account. This helps the whole stay feel connected and means you are not managing a separate set of arrangements for every gathering.
Can you help with our wedding website?
We can help organise and manage the practical information your guests need, including the schedule, venue directions, accommodation options, transport arrangements and dress codes. This is particularly useful for destination and multi-day weddings, where a clear source of information can save everyone a lot of individual questions. We agree the website support you need as part of the planning scope.
What corporate events do you plan?
We plan retreats, offsites, brand launches, client gatherings and company celebrations. The starting point is what you want the event to achieve and who needs to be in the room. We develop the event around that purpose, handling the venue, suppliers and delivery while working closely with your internal team.
Can you provide program and project management support?
Yes. Alongside event planning, we manage programs and take ownership of workstreams within a larger project. Ireti is PMP-certified, with experience coordinating projects within a corporate setting.
We can build the project plan, clarify responsibilities, track budgets and deadlines, and manage dependencies between teams. Get in touch to learn more.
