A celebration has a way of drawing different chapters of a life into the same room.
Childhood friends meet new family. People cross countries to be there. A favourite song belongs to everyone for a few minutes, and a table of strangers becomes the table that nobody wants to leave.
Those are the moments that draw us to this work. They are the moments that bring months of expectation to life, leaving you with the narratives you will tell for years to come.
About the studio
Atlas & Saga was founded to bring an international lens and clear creative direction to weddings and events. British-founded and based in Reykjavík, our studio operates across borders, pairing striking visual narratives with a sharp focus on logistics.
We believe an exceptional event should look beautiful and feel effortless.
By matching structural precision with a deep respect for hospitality, we orchestrate complex timelines into seamless moments. By handling every variable behind the scenes, we bring your vision to life with complete peace of mind.
British-founded.
Iceland-based.
Atlas & Saga grew from that love of bringing people together. Founded by London-born planner Ireti Akinroyeje and based in Reykjavík, the studio brings an international perspective shaped by years of planning weddings and events across borders.
We are drawn to the details that make a celebration yours. A dish that tastes like home. A tradition you want to carry forward, or one you are ready to make your own. The place you have returned to together, and the people you cannot imagine doing this without.
From Reykjavík to a celebration further afield, we help those ideas find their place. We bring them together so that, when you look around the room, you recognise yourselves in the celebration and have the freedom to enjoy every minute of it.

Our philosophy
Our name holds the two ideas behind our work. Atlas is the guidance: the judgement and structure that move an event forward. Saga is the story: who is gathering, what connects them and why the occasion matters.
We give both our attention. A well-run celebration should feel like it belongs to the people in the room. Their cultures and traditions, favourite places and shared history help shape the decisions, from the setting to the way the evening unfolds.
Care should be felt throughout the planning, too. We believe in honest advice, clear communication and explaining the choices, so you can make decisions with confidence. We build the same respect into our relationships with the people helping us deliver your event.
Hospitality connects it all. The welcome, the food and the attention paid to guests are part of the design. We think ahead about how people will experience the celebration, leaving you free to be there with them.

Meet Ireti
Founder & Event Director
I’m Ireti, a British wedding planner, originally from London and now based in Reykjavík, Iceland. I’ve always loved a good party.
When I was ten or eleven, I found my mother’s address book and organised her birthday party. I called her friends, arranged who was bringing what and somehow decided the whole thing was my responsibility. Nobody asked me to. I just knew that a birthday deserved a proper celebration.
After more than 150 weddings and 600 events, I still love all the little details and the moment a room comes to life. Guests settle in, the conversation gets louder, and the people who have spent months imagining it all can finally enjoy themselves.
Outside work, I’m usually plotting my next trip, with a restaurant reservation somewhere in the plan. At home, I love having friends and family around the table, cooking something good and finding a reason to open a bottle of wine. When I’m not planning or thinking about events, you’ll find me knitting or gardening.
Why I started Atlas & Saga
Over fifteen years of planning weddings and events, I’ve learned a great deal about what makes them work. I’ve also learned what I love most about the job: getting to know the people behind the occasion and turning the things that matter to them into something they can share.
After years delivering celebrations within other businesses, I wanted to build a studio around that relationship. A place where I could work directly with my own clients, take the time to understand their ideas and guide the whole experience from our first conversation to the celebration itself.
Atlas & Saga brings together the experience I’ve built and the way I’ve always wanted people to feel when working with me: listened to, well looked after and confident that someone is thinking ahead.
It gives me the freedom to build each celebration around the people it belongs to. To be there as their ideas take shape, bring the right people into the room and see it all through with them.
That is the business I wanted to create. And the kind of planning partnership I want to offer you.
